Nikoletta Szőke |
Japanese label Atelier Sawano wants Szőke to record an album each year between 2010 and 2014. The contract is expected to be signed within a few days and recording to start at the beginning of November. Szőke will be backed by Róbert Lakatos Szakcsi on piano, József Horváth Barcza on bass and András Mohay on drums. A tour of Japan is also in the making.
Szőke, who won a competition for singers under 30 as well as the audience award, at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 2005, recorded her first album in Hungary, Golden Earring, in 2008. Atelier Sawano approached her to make an album for the Japanese and American markets just a few months later. A Song For You was published in 2009.
