The second prize for men went to Armenia's Gevorg Asoya and the second prize for women was presented to Hungary's Lili Felméry. The third prize for men went to Doshan Tabildi from Kazakhstan and the third prize for women to Nakagava Iku from Japan.
A special prize was presented to Richárd Szabó and the most promising young talent awards went to Gergely Leblanc and Ágota Ecseki. The best partner prize went to Russia's Anton Ploom.
A special recognition by the chair of the jury was granted to Yekaterina Oleynik for her role as Odilia in Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake.
All dancers who made it in the finals - Yegor Azarkevitsch, Yekaterina Oleynik, Vittorio Galloro, Steven Melendez, Anastasia Lomatchenkova, Anton Ploom, Gevorg Asoyan, Ágota Ecseki, Gergely Leblanc, Richard Szabó, Lili Felméry, Balázs Majoros, Aset Murzakulov, Nakagava Iku, Andrej Pisarev, Nurlan Konocbayev, Ha Rim Byun, Odsuren Dagva and Doshan Tabildi - were presented with certificates acknowledging their success at the competition.
The competition, organized by the EuroDance Foundation, is among the world's most important dance events. It is named after the great dancer and choreographer Rudolf Nureyev, who died in Paris in 1993.
The jury for this year's contest was headed by the Russian ballerina Maya Plisetskaya, one of the greatest dancers of the 20th century. The jury's members were Heinz Sporeli, director and choreographer for the Zurich Ballet; the Argentine ballet star and director of the Ballet Argentino Julio Bocca; the director and choreographer of the Toulouse Ballet de Capitol Nanette Glushak; the president of the Japanese Association of Dance Kenji Usui; chief professor at Prague's Ballet Academy Jaroslav Slavicky; director of the Vienna Dance Competition Evelyn Teri; Ildikó Pongor of the National Ballet; and Zoltán Nagy, the rector of the Hungarian College of Dance.
