Obake, Mombu to Play Gozsdu Manó Klub

English

Obake comprises Zu bass-player Massimo Pupillo, experimental guitarist and producer Eraldo Bernocchi, opera and experimental singer Lorenzo Esposito Fornasari and Hungarian drummer Balazs Pandi.

?Obake represents the meeting point of four impressive strands of musicianship and four remarkable careers spanning very diverse genres of music, careers which include performances alongside a variety of renowned musicians such as Mike Patton, Justin Broadrick, Bill Laswell and Merzbow. Obake absorbs all of these influences into a cohesive and wildly powerful new whole,? according to the band?s website.

Mombu is the new project of Zu saxophone player Luca T. Mai and drummer Antonio Zitarelli. The duo mix African rhythm with jazz, hardcore and metal to create a ?monstrous Afro-grind?, according to a blurb for the band on Last.fm
