The László Németh City Library and the János Tornyai Museum won a HUF 2 million grant from the Hungarian Heritage House in January 2006 to digitalise more than 1,600 of Plohn's photographs and make them available on the internet. More than half of the images have been digitalised so far.
The task was urgent as silver on the glass plates had started peeling off.
