The programme will start with a concert of Mozart?s ?Requiem? and ?Symphony in G Minor? by the Budapest Philharmonic Orchestra, to be followed by productions of ?The Magic Flute?, ?The Clemency of Titus?, ?The Abduction from the Seraglio?, ?Cosi fan Tutte?, ?The Marriage of Figaro?, and ?Don Giovanni?, programme director István Kátay said on Monday.

?The Abduction from the Seraglio? and ?The Magic Flute? will be performed twice, but the other four operas will be put on just once. All of the performances will take place at the Hungarian State Opera. The last performance, of ?Don Giovanni?, will take place on December 3.

In addition to the opera?s own company, Timothy Bench will sing in three operas and guest László Polgár will play Sarastro in ?The Magic Flute?.

The opera performed several Mozart operas already in the previous season, including a new production of ?Don Giovanni?, directed by Gábor Kesselyák, presented on Mozart?s birthday on January 27. The production is featured in the first book of the recently published ?Master Opera? series, with photographs by Zsuzsanna Rózsa.
