Opera Master Class Winds Up With Free Concert

English

Laki lives and works in Germany but comes to Hungary to teach master classes.

?Everyone comes here with some material they want to work on. We go through the selected song, opera, oratorio or operetta individually with each participant. The closing concert is a summary of the week?s consultations and work,? she said.

Most of the participants at the master class were Hungarian, but there were also some singers from China.

?I am deeply touched by the attention of the young Chinese singers. It is impossible to acquire any skill without focusing attention. It is very impressive that singers with such different cultural roots come here with such great admiration and they try to better learn our musical culture. I have worked with some very talented and promising singers with great voices and they demonstrated a great reverence for the music,? Laki said.
