The gala, to take place on September 22, 2007, will feature performances by Attila Dolhai, Mónika Fischl, Károly Peller, Zsuzsa Kalocsai, Szilveszter P. Szabó, Kata Janza, Zsuzsa Lehoczky, Marika Oszvald, Árpád Zsolt Mészáros and Dóra Szinetár.
The Pest Broadway Foundation has commissioned Gábor Veres to make the statue, which will show the "king of Hungarian operetta composers" sitting on a bench in the pedestrian zone along Nagymező utca. It is hoped contributions from theatre-goers will cover most of the cost of the statue.
