The four new films touch on family secrets, daughters' careers, love-hungry children and the collapse and reform of communities. They are Mommy Is at the Hardresser's by director Léa Pool, Straight to the Heart by Stéphane Gehami, It's Not Me, I Swear by Philippe Falardeau and Behind Me by Raffael Ouellet.
In addition to the new films, cinemagoers will get a chance to see old Canadian favourites such as director Neil LaBute's 1997 film In The Company of Men, or The Hanging Garden, The Confessional and Atom Egoyan's film Felicia's Journey.
The festival programme also includes a selection of award-winning Canadian short films.
