Örökmozgó to Host Portuguese Film Week

English

This year?s festival will focus on the work of young Portuguese filmmakers. Appropriately, one of the films in the festival?s line-up, Marco Martins? ?Alice?, was nominated for the European Film Academy?s ?European Discovery of the Year? award in 2005.

Hungary?s first Portuguese Film Week, in 2000, was such a success that many of the films featured at the event were later shown in Debrecen, in northeast Hungary.

Portugal?s film industry serves as an excellent model for Hungary, considering the country has about the same economic power as Hungary, but is further along in its convergence with the European Union.

The Portuguese Film Week will include screenings of the following films:

Alice, 2005, dir: Marco Martins
André Valente, 2003, dir: Catarina Ruivo
Documento boxe, 2005, dir: Miguel Clara Vasconselos
Esquece tudo o que te disse, 2002, dir: António Ferreira
Lisboetas, 2004, dir: Sérgio Tréfaut
Outros barrios, 2004, dir: Ines Gonçalves
Costa dos murmúrios, 2004, dir: Margarida Cardoso
Rasganço, 2001, r: Raquel Freire
