SPAARK, a sponsorship consultancy based in Budapest, had hoped to organise a public exhibition of decorated cow sculptures by local artists for the second year in a row, following the original Budapest CowParade in 2006.
"The fire in the warehouse in March has caused such a delay in preparations that the cows could only be ready at the end of July. This would significantly shorten the time when they are on display and it would not allow us enough time to prepare the auction that follows the exhibitions. As a result, we have decided to give up on this year's event and use all our energies on preparing a 2009 Tehén Parádé which will exceed all past events," said SPAARK's Gergely Csikós.
