Artwork by György Kepes

The display will show photos Kepes made under the concept of symmetry, balance and rhythm in one. It offers a good opportunity to bring back Kepes into the light, one of the leading artists of his age, who lived and worked in the United States from 1937.

The exhibition will also show several graphic works, copper engravings by Kondor, along with photogramms he took in the year he died in 1972. Kondor is regarded one of the most influential modern artists of the 1960s in Hungary.

The exhibition will be part of those presenting leading 20th century Hungarian artists less known in western Europe from the one-time eastern block.
