Anka started out big in the profession, as a teen star in the late 1950s. But his heartthrob hits from the early year of his career - such as Diana, Lonely Boy and Put Your Head on My Shoulder - were not the only music Anka knew how to write. During the course of his career, he penned the Tom Jones' hit She's A Lady, the theme music for The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson and the English lyrics for Frank Sinatra's My Way.
Always in time with the latest musical trends, Anka has most recently released two albums of big band arrangements of contemporary standards such as Bon Jovi's It's My Life, Lionel Richie's Hello, Eric Clapton's Tears in Heaven, Spandau Ballet's True, Oasis' Wonderwall, Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit and Soundgarden's Black Hole Sun.
