The agreement is expected to give Pécs more access to European Union funding as well as cement links in education, tourism and business.
A native son of Pécs, the artist Victor Vasarely, the father of Op-art, spent much of his life in Aix-en-Provence. Both cities are home to museums that house the artist?s work.
