Pécs Artists Show at Museums Night in Vienna

Works by eight teachers from Pécs University?s department of painting, including Zoltán Ádám, András Ernszt, Csaba Hegyi, István Lossonczy, Csaba Nemes, Márta Nyilas, Péter Somody and László Valkó will be on display at the Collegium Hungaricum on the night of October 2. The exhibition is part of the Pécs2010 European Capital of Culture programme.

 
The Collegium Hungaricum aims to help the artists from Pécs and Austria develop closer ties, director of the institute Márton Méhes said. ?We are determined to tempt Viennese artists and gallery owners to come to the show,? he added.
 
Some of the featured artists have already exhibited in Vienna before.
 
In addition to the exhibition, the Collegium Hungaricum will host three dance and laser shows during the evening.
 
The Collegium Hungaricum is an official partner of Austrian public radio and television ORF, the main organiser of the Long Night of Museums. The exhibition is listed on the official programme list and Collegium Hungaricum will sell tickets valid to all events during the evening.
 
Tickets valid for all events during the Long Night of Museums cost EUR 13. Ticket holders can use Viennese public transport system free of charge.
