EU Tax and Customs Commissioner László Kovács opened the exhibition, which was timed to coincide with the celebration of Hungary's national holiday on March 15. Chief of the Hungarian mission in Brussels Tibor Kiss welcomed visitors to the exhibition, and cultural director for the Pécs2010 programme Tamás Szalay talked about preparations for events to take place in Pécs next year.

The exhibition, entitled Symbols and Forms - Continual Present, includes works by the Mihály Munkácsy Prize-winning graphic artist Sándor Pinczehelyi. Pinczehelyi, who was named a Distinguished Artist of the Hungarian Republic this year, was also present at the opening of the exhibition.
