The show covers the 80 years of Angster?s company?s existence, a period during which it built or rebuilt 1,300 organs, moving from an all-manual approach to machine production on the way.
Among the organs built by Angster are ones in Budapest?s Dohány Street Synagogue and the Saint Stephen Basilica. The main Reformed churches in Budapest as well as Debrecen also have Angster organs. The largest Angster, with some 9,000 pipes, was built for the Szeged cathedral.
The exhibition can be seen until August 18.
