The concerts will start with a performance by the Pécs University Musicology Institute at the Pius church late in the afternoon. Concerts at the main Reformed Church, the Franciscan Church, the Synagogue and the Dóm will follow.
A sculpture by Antal Kelle entitled Work From the Holy Land will be unveiled at the Cella Septichora visitor centre.
Pécs was acknowledged by UNESCO for its role as a ?city of peace? in 1998. The city was a safe haven for refugees during the war in the Balkans.
