The exhibition, called CultStop, follows last year's highly popular exhibition of verse called Poem Stop. It will feature billboard displays of comics in busy areas around the city. The comics were selected by a jury from submissions in a competition that invited artists to interpret the catchphrase "Patchwork Pécs".
CultStop will be launched in the courtyard (Hild udvar) of Pécs's Arts and Literature House at 9pm on June 4. The Belgian comic strip artist Jean-Luc Cornette will introduce the exhibition and a concert by Zat will follow.
The exhibition will coincide with the Pécs National Theatre Convention as well as the city's Gastronomy Weeks.
