The volume was launched with the participation of the authors János Géczi, Ottó Fenyvesi, Benjámin Tibor Szabó and Centauri at an event in one of Warsaw?s biggest bookstores.
The event, organised with the support of the Hungarian Cultural Institute, was opened by Hungary?s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Administration and Justice Tibor Navracsics and Veszprém Mayor Gyula Porga.
Anna Górecka, who edits Literature in the World, said the highest concentration of writers ? especially poets ? per square kilometre could probably be found in Hungary.
Centauri, a nom de plume, told the audience that his father ?had a Polish soul? and would invite guests from Poland to his home every summer.
In addition to the authors who participated at the launch, the Literature in the World volume contains selections from the work of the Cholnoky brothers, Gyula Krúdy, Ferenc Darvasi, Péter Bozsik and István Ladányi.
