The exhibition is held in the Zsolnay Cultural Quarter which is currently under construction as one of the large development projects of the Pecs European Capital of Culture 2010 scheme.
"The European Capital of Culture title gives an extraordinary opportunity to the city and its citizens to reassess their values and present them to the world," Pal Schmitt said.
The exhibition mostly comprises of a collection that the city of Pecs has recently purchased from a private collector of Hungarian descent living in the US.
