Primal Scream Leaves Sziget Fans Satisfied

English

Fans - several generations of fans - started gathering in front of the main stage well before the start of the show, and the area was packed by the time the cult band made their entrance. "I stuck a needle in my arm, I stuck it in my baby's heart, She looked so hot & sexy, She wasn't there at all," the band sang in the refrain of Can't Go Back, the first number of their set at the Sziget.

Frontman Bobby Gillespie has hardly aged, and he's still as fit as ever, striding around on the stage bare-chested but for a black suit coat as former Stone Roses guitarist Mani played the bad boy.

The band followed up with Rocks, Accelerator, Movin' On Up, proving their cult status and making everybody dance. "Get your rocks off, honey. Shake it now now" - and isn't that what rock 'n' roll is all about.

After the deafening final number, the band said good night and the fans slowly left, all satisfied.
