The prize, a Nokia N93 multimedia handset, capable of recording DVD-quality films, was presented to Egri by Nokia Hungary communications director Anna Simai.

The festival attracted some 300 entries from all around the country, Simai said. Applicants were allowed to submit any short film or film clip under 20 Megabits in size.

The festival?s audience prize, a Nokia N73 handset, went to Debrecen?s András Makovinyi for his film ?Money Script?, and the Nokia prize, a Nokia N70 handset, was awarded to Borisz Takács of Békéscsaba.

The Valley of Arts prize was presented to Tamás Holczer of Pula for his film ?Béjvaccs?, which sounds like ?Baywatch? when said in Hungarian. István Márta, director of the Valley of Arts festival, which was the theme for the prize, called the prize a privilege. He added that Holczer would be invited to next year?s festival to make a longer film, with the festival?s organisers paying for the costs.

The Godot Theatre prize went to Budapest?s Gábor Dán for his film ?Unbelievable Unintentional UFO Video?. The prize?s namesake will show the film.

Director Miklós Jancsó, who headed the jury, congratulated all of the winners. The jury?s members were actor-director Péter Rudolf, director Tamás Ardai, actor Iván Kamarás, musician György Ferenczi, gallery director Zoltán Sáfár, and festival director István Márta.

Hungary?s second Mobile Film Festival will start in December.
