Radiohead, Robert Plant, Franz Ferdinand to play Sziget

English

Radiohead has achieved a degree of fame similar to that of Pink Floyd in the 70s and U2 in the late 80s and early 90s. Front man Thom Yorke?s unmistakable vocals and the band?s complex, genre-crossing music have made Radiohead?s albums among those most consistently included on ?best albums of all time? lists. The band will release a new album in spring.

In addition to Radiohead, Legendary Led Zeppelin singer Robert Plant will play with Strange Sensation, and indie favourites Franz Ferdinand will make a repeat visit to the festival after last summer?s smash show.

Following a performance at last year?s Sziget Festival by Skinny Puppy, the 80s and 90s electro-industrial music scene will be represented by Ministry. While Trent Reznor and Nine Inch Nails have joined the mainstream for good, Ministry has remained a cult band, without which there would be no Marilyn Manson or Rob Zombie.

On the ethnic music stages, Arab ethno-pop diva Natacha Atlas will play material from her new album Mish Maoul, out in spring, and Neapolitan Enzo Avitabile will return after a show in 2005, this time together with Cameroun's Manu Dibango.

On the diverse WAN2 Stage, Germany?s Wir Sind Helden will play, and on the Hammer World Stage, one of the highlights will be Sick of It All, one of the founders of the New York Hardcore scene.
