Record attendance at Budapest Int'l Book Fair

The country's leading literary event this year offered over 50,000 volumes by 600 Hungarian and foreign publishers.

    
The guest of honour at the four-day event was celebrated American author Bret Easton Ellis, best-known for his novel "American Psycho", who received the main Budapest Award and held public meetings with crowds of readers.
 
The other guest of honour was China itself offering over 1,000 titles by around 70 publishers.
