Regional educational centre opens in Pecs

The new facility, built on 13,000 square metres using a 5.5 billion forint (EUR 19.1m) budget including European Union funds, will serve as a source of information for the city and the whole region, and also support community, cultural and recreational events.

   
The centre will host the municipal library, as well as the library of Pecs University with its one million items, making the facility the fourth largest such institution in the country.
   
The centre also includes two lecture halls with 200 seats each, exhibition and reading rooms, a restaurant and a cafe.
