Jenna Elfman's character in the comedy Keeping The Faith marvels at the "discovery" a return trip to an art museum can bring, and so can we. Just because the Van Gogh in Budapest exhibition has left the Museum of Fine Arts is no excuse to put off a return visit. The museum's permanent collection offers much to see, and see again, such as the Polish painter and author Miczkiewicz's depiction of snow-covered houses near Zakopane in the landscape room or the vase decorated with a centaur from the collection of the former communist leader of Hungary János Kádár in the antiquities room. Visitors should not forget that the Museum of Fine Arts has in its permanent collection works by such famous artists as Rodin, Renoir, Gauguin, Millet, Monet, Cézanne, Kokoschka, Pissarro, El Greco, Goya, Toulouse-Lautrec, Courbet, Rafael and Titian, any of whom make a visit worthwhile.

One more reason to visit the Museum of Fine Arts' permanent collection: admission is free.
