Williams sang the same songs in Budapest as at the tour?s opening date in Dublin, but in a different order. The Budapest concert also seemed livelier, with a more enthusiastic crowd, whom Williams praised during the show: ?You?re the best audience! Seriously! I hope we?ll meet again!? The 32-year-old pop star flirted with the young women in the front rows throughout the show, leading them on until one fan bared her breasts.
The stadium?s gates opened at 16:00, and Chris Coco, the first opener, went on stage at 18:30. Orson followed, playing a set until 20:15. A 45-minute technical break followed.
In addition to songs off his newest album Intensive Care, released in Hungary in October 2005, Williams played older numbers, even some from his time with boy band Take That. Williams returned for three encores, descending in a basket from the top of the stage before singing Let Me Entertain You. (The same manoeuvre went awry at the show in Dublin and Williams promised the fans there a free concert as compensation.)
Williams conceded before the show that he was ill, and his doctor advised him against going on stage. But the audience at the Ferenc Puskás stadium must have had a recuperative effect on the singer. ?I hope you all felt as well as I did,? he told the crowd before his exit.
Williams retired after the concert to the presidential suite of Budapest?s finest five-star hotel.
