The translations were published in the April issue of the journal International Literature.
A performance of Örkény?s Catsplay at the Moscow Art Theatre opened the 2nd Örkény Festival, said Tatiana Voronkina, who has translated seven volumes of Örkény?s work. The first festival was held in Moscow five years ago, when the Russian translation of Lágerek népe (People of the Camps) was published, she added.
Vorokin said the plays were the last of Örkény?s works to be translated into Russian.
