Show of Makovecz Work Opens in Venice

The work of Makovecz, who died this year, aged 75, can be seen in the exhibition as well as that of some of his Hungarian and Italian colleagues.
 
The show?s curator is Maya Nagy, who has taught at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice as well as at other Italian art schools for 27 year.
 
Nagy worked on the show, the twelfth in Italy of Makovecz?s work, for three years, turning it into an homage to the artist after his death.
 
Academy of Fine Arts head Luigino Rossi, Hungary?s honourary consular official in Venice Enrico Zoppas and the painter Sándor Aranyi attended the opening of the exhibition, which runs until December 22.
