Parlour Pork

One of the better known shorts to be shown will be Szalontüdő (Parlour Pork), Márton Szirmai's rendering of a short story by András Nagy Bandó starring Tamás Ascher and Zsolt Anger, both high-profile actors on Hungary's theatre scene.

László Káldy, the engineer and horse farmer, will show two new films: Tavaszig még tíz nap biztos hideg (There Will Certainly Be At Least Ten More Cold Days Before Spring) and Télen történt (It Happened in Winter). The German language teacher Kristóf Szalay will show his thriller wrapped in absurd humour Deus Ex Machina.

The film screenings are being organised by the Hungarian Independent Film and Video Association.

The screenings will take place at the same time as another festival celebrating pálinka, Hungary's favourite distilled drink.
