Six-day Music Festival Planned in Front of Parliament

English

The festival will open with jazz performances at Adam Clark Square, on the Pest side of the Chain Bridge, and in the Jövő Háza theatre, near Moszkva Square in Buda. The concerts are part of the Jazz Bridge festival.

Then, from May 1, Kossuth Square will serve as the stage for performances by some of Hungary?s most popular bands for six days. Taking to the stage will be Hooligans, R-GO, Roy and Ádám, Zanzibar, Bon-Bon and United as well as several contestants from the Megasztár television talent search show. Big names from the past, such as László Aradszky, János Koós, György Korda and Klári Balázs, will also play the venue.

Visitors who tire of dancing to the music will find a number of special benches at Kossuth Square which each play music from a different member state, offering auditory journeys to Paris, Rome, Vienna or Madrid.
