Front man Billy Corgan (without whom, it would be difficult to imagine The Smashing Pumpkins) will come with the band's latest incarnation following a breakup in 2000. Jeff Schroeder, a member of Lassie Foundation, will play guitar, filling the shoes of James Iha, and Ginger Reyes will play bass, with a nod to her predecessors Melissa Auf der Maur and D'arcy Wretzky. The band's original drummer Jimmy Chamberlin, who started out as a jazz musician, will join the set.
The band is promoting their new album Zeitgeist.
