The SoloDuo Festival offers dancers the chance to have their performances assessed by an international jury and to participate in an innovative creative process.
There will be 20 solo and 20 duo performances in the competition programme ?to avoid overstressing the jury and the audience,? the festival organisers say.
Nomination rounds will be held in Poland, in the Czech Republic and in Germany at SoloDuo semi-festivals organised with the cooperation of the EFERTE Dance Development Foundation, the Duncan Center Conservatory Prague and the Barnes Crossing Choreographers Network between May and November 2010.

For the Hungarian and Slovakian participants, the nomination round will be held at the Art of Movement Studio on October 16-17.
Applicants unable to participate at these rounds may submit a video of their work on youtube.
The application deadline is September 20.
Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
Improvisations without any structure, or a choreography that was performed before will not be accepted.
The length of a solo performance can not be more than 6 minutes and no more than 9 minutes in the case of duo performances. Exceeding these time limits cause automatic disqualification.
Tools or instruments may be used in the performances but only if their installation does not take longer than 30 seconds previous to the performance.
Tools (candles, water, dye) that can damage or soil the stage floor are prohibited.
Applicants must present a completed registration form, a press-quality picture, confirmation of paid registration fee and a link to a video of the performance in case of video nomination.
The foundation can give free or supported accommodation to 20 foreign participants, but cannot pay travel or catering costs.
