The world premiere of Flamenco Meets Gypsy Music, a co-production by the Spanish flamenco dancer Maria Serrano and the Hungarian musician Kálmán Balogh, will take place on Friday, March 16, at the House of Future Theatre. The show, which will be repeated on Saturday and Sunday, aims to explore the roots, rhythms and melodies common to flamenco and Hungarian Gypsy music. Serrano and Balogh first met in 1993 and have performed together in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

The second world premiere, of the ballet Gone With the Wind, will be performed by the Hungarian National ballet on March 23 and 24 at the Hungarian State Opera. The ballet is choreographed by Lilla Pártay and set to the music of Anton Dvorák. Performed with a double cast, Aleszja Popova and Anna Cigankova will both play the role of Scarlett O'Hara.

The world renowned Monte Carlo Ballet will perform in Hungary for the first time on March 21-23. They will bring their production Romeo and Juliet, choreographed by Jean-Christophe Maillot to the Palace of Arts.
