Laurent Le Bon

Le Bon will present his book, Art Under the Sky - Public Orders in France Between 1983 and 2007 and give a talk entitled Museum under the Sky. Is there room for artworks in the heart of a city? How could public spaces be transformed into open air museums? in the Ludwig Museum at 6pm on February 11. The presentation will be held in French with simultaneous Hungarian interpretation.

 
Le Bon, born in 1969, studied at the Institut d'Études Politiques and the École du Louvre. He was awarded the title officer for the protection of cultural heritage specialised in museums at the School for the Protection of National Cultural Heritage. Le Bon teaches art history at the École du Louvre and cultural management at the Institut d'Études Politiques.
 
Le Bon started his career on the fine arts committee of the French Ministry of Culture, where he became commissioner for public orders. Since 2000, he has worked for the Centre Pompidou-Musée d'Art Moderne. He has been the curator of numerous exhibitions in France and abroad. Since 2005, he has been in charge of the Centre Pompidou-Metz project.
