The two institutions plan 24 performances this season, but their cooperation is guaranteed for two seasons, said state opera director Lajos Vass.
Ádám Fischer said The Magic Flute was an opera that could be enjoyed by people from eight to 80, making it an ideal performance to see as a family. The opera will be presented in Hungarian because of the large amount of dialogue, he added.
Fischer said he felt like the heir to a dynasty taking up his baton in the theatre where his father, Sándor Fischer, was earlier the musical director.
Lucky is the director who can bring The Magic Flute, an opera of secrets, love and journeys, to the stage, said László Marton.
