French Ambassador to Hungary Francois Nicoullaud presented the award, which was chosen for for Tosser's study prepared at Rennes University on the art of Hungarian composer Gyorgy Kurtag. He was the sixth person to be awarded by the 12-member jury at the Hungarian Institute of Paris for the best dissertation on a Hungarian subject written at a French university.
The award is accompanied by a 3000-euro prize.
