Since the humble beginnings when only a few dozen musicians and drivers in their Raba trucks showed up at a manor near Szeged, the festival has grown to become an international event also attracting many families, said Attila Agoston.
Some 350-400 trucks are expected to this year's festival beginning on Friday, including participants from Switzerland, Romania, Italy, Slovakia and the United States.
The event will include a special beauty contest for trucks, in preparation to which many drivers give new paint jobs to their vehicles, Agoston said.
In addition to music events, film screenings and a laser show, the programme also includes a speeding race to be held on Sunday afternoon.
