Szeged Youth Festival Draws Record 62,000 People

English

The organisers of this year's festival made a special effort to go green, telling vendors to use only biodegradable cups and plates, and offering incentives to festival-goers who arrived in full cars. There was free bicycle storage on the festival grounds, and a rickshaw taxi service brought people into the heart of the city from the venue on the banks of the Tisza River.

About 80 percent of festival-goers said the same green approach should be taken by other festival organisers.
