?Nostalgic feelings are hard to avoid when you reach a symbolic stage, but I?m convinced that Sziget has to look forward,? said chief organiser Károly Gerendai. ?A festival organiser needs to aim for the best each year, so even if it?s already the 20th edition of Sziget, that?s just a good occasion to make an even better job,? he added.

Gerendai counted among the highlights of this year?s festival performances by Placebo, Hurts, The Horrors, The Subways, Crystal Fighters, Mando Diao, Noah & The Whale and Friendly Fires.

?Of course we are still working hard on the program, so there?s a lot more to come,? he said.

Brian Molko?s Placebo, who require no introduction, will hopefully bring material from an album they are working on to Sziget.

Hurts, ?one of the most exciting bands of the British electro pop scene?, according to Sziget, is returning after playing in the A38 tent during last year?s festival.

Sziget calls The Horrors? musical output ?intelligent, heartfelt guitar rock?.

Subways, who ?stream out an awesome level of energy during live shows?, are also returning to the Sziget after a two-year hiatus.

Sziget?s description of Crystal Fighters is uncharacteristically long, but reflects their complex sound: ?Traditional, acoustic, Basque instruments playing fat bass lines, euphoric electro sounds from easy chill-wave and speedy dupstep origins.?

Swedish alternative band Mando Diao mixes ?60?s rhythm and blues with punk, garage and 90?s guitar pop?.

Sziget says Noah and the Whale are ?catchy and fun to hear?, while noting the look ?like heroes from a Wes Anderson movie?.

Friendly Fires, says Sziget, are perhaps ?the most stylish indie dance-pop bands that the UK currently has to offer?.
