The power on the main stage, where Manu Chao was performing, went out about 20 minutes into the show. The band continued to perform, sans amplifiers, for a few minutes until the power was restored. But another power outage took place after just two more songs. This one, however, lasted for less than a minute.
Several other smaller stages as well as catering units around the main stage were also left without power during the blackout. Here power was restored only later, forcing some smaller concessions to serve their customers in the dark until morning.
The power outage was the first ever of its kind at the festival, which is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year.
