The motto of this year?s festival is ?dance on all levels?, said Filharmónia Budapest Nonprofit managing director György Igrics. He added that, in addition to Hungarians, about 60 students from six countries would attend the seminar.

Zoltán Peskó and László Tihanyi will teach the conducting masterclass, Louis Andrissen and Fabio Nieder will head the composing masterclass, Imre Rohmann will teach the piano class, György Pauk the violin class and György Lakatos the bassoon class.

The festival will open with a concert by the Savari Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Howard Williams on July 13. Bartók?s The Miraculous Mandarin is on the programme as is the premiere of Balázs Horváth?s I Got Riff, a piece by Andrissen and The Chairman Dance from John Adams? opera Nixon in China, in keeping with the festival motto.
