"Rehearsals will start on September 10," theatre director László Gergely said in Monday's edition of Hungarian language daily Új Magyar Szó. "This will be the first time that the play is performed in Transylvania," he added.
The new theatre will open a production of Cervantes' Don Quixote on November 26, followed by a youth production of the musical The Attic on March 19.
The actors in the productions are freelancers, but the theatre aims to establish its own troupe in the long term. Actors in the premiere season's productions include György Csapó, Zsuzsa Adorjáni, Kata Bartsch, Bíborka Bocskor, Réka Barabás, Csaba Bartos, Réka Ferencz, Jenő Szabó and Gábor Viola.
