The festival, which encourages collaboration between makers of film and video and performance artists, will take place at the Művész Cinema, the Flórián Workshop, the Mu Theatre and the Trafó House of Contemporary Arts. The programme runs until November 28.
The programme starts with screenings of films, originally broadcast by ARTE, at the Művész Cinema. The films include documentaries about marionette players and famous contemporary choreographers, as well as a portrait of the world-renowned Hungarian composer György Ligeti, who died in June.
The Trafó House of Contemporary Arts will host performances by Canadian director Denis Marleau?s Compagnie UBU. On Saturday, Marleau will participate in a roundtable discussion with director Tamás Ascher, actor-director Zoltán Balázs and theatre historian Anna Lakos.
The Trafó will also host the Norwegian production ?Concert for Greenland? on November 14.
