The concert will be a re-enactment of a performance by Fitzgerald in Budapest in 1970. It will feature the same numbers and demonstrate the message of freedom the audience at the time understood in her music.
Performing in Fitzgerald?s stead will be Hungary?s Jazzclusive, featuring the singer Nikoletta Szőke with József Barcza Horváth on bass, András Mohay on drums and Róbert Szakcsi Lakatos on piano. The ensemble?s members have received a number of awards and have played for many international audiences.
