The TÁP Theatre has established a tradition of putting on productions during the VOLT Festival, and this year the festival's organisers have given the troupe the task of brining together a four-day programme of productions put on by different theatres.
On Wednesday, July 2, the Zsámbek Theatre and Arts Base and the City Theatre will perform the tragicomedy-cum-social fairy tale Libiomfi. On Thursday, the HOPPart Company will show Our Die Hard. On the same evening, students of the Theatre and Film Arts Academy will perform Sputnik Disco under the direction of Viktor Bodó and with music by DJ Palotai.
On Friday, July 4, the Budapest Jewish Theatre will perform Hunkurunk, and the Krétakör troupe will show Made in China, a story about a contemporary woman in three voices with Annamária Láng, Kata Koltai and Éva Bodrogi. Holland's SPACE Theatre will bring a production to the festival that has already caused a sensation at several venues around the country: Dutch Tsunami, about a disaster that sends all off Holland to Hungary as refugees.
On Saturday, July 5, the KoMa troupe will perform Plazma, and Tamás Dömötör will bring The Sugar Show to the stage.
The performances will take place at the Petőfi Theatre and the Liszt Conference and Cultural Centre in the centre of Sopron.
