The contract on the funding for the theatres' project was signed in Kosice on Wednesday.
The project involves guest performances in both Kosice and Miskolc. The performances will be in the actors' mother tongue with supertitles. The two companies will also work on one joint production.
"Our man ambition is to create an exchange of programmes between Kosice and Miskolc," said Kosice State Theatre director Peter Himic. "Perhaps culture and theatre will help us pull down or overcome obstacles so we can seek a path to each other and to a common voice," he added.
