Two Hungarian Films to Compete in Haifa

Tranquillity

Mundruczó's film Delta will be screened on October 17 and 20. Alföldi's Tranquillity will be shown on October 14 and 16.

Delta will also be shown at the Hungarian Embassy in Tel Aviv on the 20^th. A talk with Mundruczó will precede the screening.

The Haifa International Film Festival is held each year on Mount Carmel during Sukkot, or the Feast of Booths. The festival draws nearly 200,000 people.

Delta

Mundruczó and the producer Viktória Petrányi will soon meet to prepare for the next Hungarian Film Days, to take place in January 2009. The event will feature works by the younger generation of filmmakers and is expected to foster links between Hungarian and Israeli professionals. The event is being supported by the Ministry of Education and Culture, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Balassi Institute.
