The awards, presented at the Hungarian Embassy in London, went to Edmond Fivet and Peter Broadbent.

Fivet is the recently retired rector of the Wales Music and Drama College. He has assisted a number of Hungarian students to develop their skills at the institution over a period of nearly 60 years.

Broadbent is one of the UK's best known conductors. He also regularly leads master classes in Europe and the United States, where he makes it a point to promote works by contemporary Hungarian composers.

Broadbent has worked with Hungary's Debrecen Philharmonic Orchestra and Kodály Choir.
