The screenings will start with the ballet?s performance of Shostakovich?s The Limpid Stream. Tchaikovsky?s Sleeping Beauty will be screened in July, Adolphe Adam?s The Corsair in August and Alexander Glazunov?s Raymonda in September.
In the autumn, the theatre will screen performances of the ballet?s 2012/13 season, some of them live. On the programme are Cesare Pugni?s The Pharaoh's Daughter, Lost Illusions by Leonid Desyatnikov and Stravinsky?s The Rite of Spring.
High-definition screenings of the New York Metropolitan Opera have become increasingly popular in Hungary.
